**Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems **has an opening for a** Material Handler 2 **to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our** Production Control** team**. This role is located in Palmdale, CA.**

**Role Description**:
Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand. Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist. Occupy a lean station; check in/out hand tools, tool kits, hardware, chemicals, parts; audit tool kits/toolboxes; relocate larger parts, toolboxes, crates to various buildings

**This position will support 4-10’s 1st Shift, 0500 to 1530 Mon-Thurs.**

**Job Duties**:

- Primary duties will be in issuing, receiving, shipping, and storing hardware, chemicals, parts, tools.
- Perform safe handling and processing of hazardous material(s)
- Offload pallets from incoming deliveries
- Place material in kits, identifies kits, and transports kits to storage or point of use
- Perform inventory and maintain accurate inventory levels
- Package and ship end item parts
- Operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jacks (manual and powered), trucks
- Continuous standing and walking for extended periods and perform physical work on a regular basis
- Overtime and on-call duty may be required
- Other duties as assigned

**Basic Qualifications for Material Handler 2**:

- High School Diploma or GED (education will be verified) AND 2 years of additional education or related experience
- Valid Driver License required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience with Word, Excel, and an inventory database
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain Special Program Access

**Salary Range**:$41,000 - $68,300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
