**SUPERVISION EXERCISED**: Supervises and mentors any interns or student workers that may be appropriate to the office.

**LOCATION**: Lancaster, PA.

***:Based in Lancaster, PA this position will be responsible for crafting and executing marketing and communication plans that promote Moravian Theological Seminary, Lancaster Theological Seminary, and Moravian University graduate programs, events and initiatives on the Lancaster campus. Ensure all marketing collateral (print, digital) maintains continuity with University brand standards and work in close coordination with seminary leadership, seminary admissions, the advancement/development team as well as graduate admissions and university partnerships when needed.

Marketing and communication activities are intended to support the work of both seminary and university recruitment and enrollment, maintain contact with alumni bases, engage churches/judicatories, promote events, highlight faculty scholarship and speaking engagements, relay the work of the seminaries to broader constituent groups in the Lehigh Valley, Lancaster, and surrounding areas, and keep internal audiences well informed.

In addition to the primary duties supporting admissions for seminary enrollment departments (Moravian and Lancaster), this role will support Moravian University admissions activities in the Lancaster market, helping to promote the campus on West James Street as a student-centered hub for events, academic activities and community partnerships.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Make independent, strategic decisions regarding the development of content for the Seminary websites, various digital platforms, marketing collateral and other materials to effectively promote enrollment for the seminaries' programs, and publicize the achievements and accomplishments of faculty and students.
- In coordination with the Vice President and Dean of Lancaster and Moravian Theological Seminaries and the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications, act as a media spokesperson for the seminaries, developing and maintaining effective media relations, responding to media inquiries, distributing announcements to the media and scheduling media interviews with faculty and others upon request.
- Coordinate with the University marketing team and search vendors to ensure the consistent and accurate use of seminary branding and messaging, and work with the University marketing team in the development of branding and messaging for the Moravian University School of Theology.
- Work with the joint seminary enrollment team and seminary administrator to manage, develop, and update content on the Moravian and Lancaster Seminary websites, including academic program sites, administrative office sites, and the respective Seminary events calendars. This also includes collaborating on the creation and redesign of digital spaces as needed working with University resources and/or external vendors.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments at both seminaries to meet their content marketing needs, including messaging, web presence, and content/collateral creation.
- Maintain and oversee use of the Moravian University, Moravian and Lancaster Seminary brand voices across all platforms, digital and print.
- In consultation with the seminaries' leadership, direct and implement Moravian and Lancaster Seminaries' internal communications including production of the weekly e-newsletter, content creation for the digital signage on Bethlehem campus, production of print collateral, posters and flyers for internal use; provide ongoing strategic communication consultation for the merger and other institution events; and provide editorial support to the dean of the seminaries for communication and projects including the dean's monthly alumni column, speeches, and presentations.
- Provide content for and direction of the seminaries' social media platforms.
- Provide event support, as needed, for all seminary and university events held on the Lancaster campus.
- Oversee freelance vendors and marketing coordinators, when needed.
