Monarch Investment is hiring a** Collections Specialist** to join our onsite property management team in North Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This position is responsible for the effective management of property level, day to day tenant financial accounting and auditing under the direction of the Regional Property Manager (RPM) and operates independently of the Property Manager (PM). They oversee and attempt to obtain payments for any outstanding tenant related balances due to a Monarch Investment. These balances may be for rent, damage, fees incurred, deposit payment plans, and move out charges or any related charge to a resident or past resident account.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assists Property Manager with posting, collecting, tracking and managing delinquency of rental and other income
- Consistently attempts to collect “Bad Debt” prior to write offs
- Assists with evictions related to no rent payments
- Ensures adherence to all Monarch policies and procedures by the property team
- Ensures desired tenant renewals are being captured at the highest rate possible
- Generates renewal and other reporting to Property Manager
- Other duties and special projects as assigned

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in Collections, Bookkeeping or equivalent
- Multi-family housing preferred
- Must have excellent computer skills and be able to navigate industry software
- General knowledge of local, state and federal resident/property management laws/guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
