Description:

The Credentialing Specialist will be primarily responsible for the privileging of medical staff.

- Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including appointment, reappointment, and privileging for medical staff and allied health professional staff.

-Process electronically all medical staff and allied health credentialing applications to completion.

-Identify credentialing files that are lacking required information and perform appropriate follow up to obtain missing or expired documentation.

-Performs verification of reappointment applications by preparing requests for information letters, tracks response and follow-up for needed information.

-Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing and clinical privileging database system.

-Ensure ongoing credentialing and privileging processes meet regulatory compliance and industry standards.

-Monitors, collects, and verifies all credentials per regulatory requirements.

-Obtains all required documentation at time of reappointments and maintains MD-Staff database.

-Enters accurate and up-to-date data for each applicant into the database and responds to verification requests. Create, update and send reports as requested.

-Work closely with supervision and provide regular project status updates.

-Other Credentialing Specialist duties within the scope of the non-lead/non-supervisory job.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

- Experience in initial credentialing and MD-Staff both required.

- General knowledge of credentialing and medical staff services

- Technical skills required - being able to navigate in multiple databases and perform data entry

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with Adobe Sign and other platforms
