Job Summary

The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to create entrepreneurial leaders through a broad range of experiences, including classroom learning, experiential learning, leading-edge research, and community outreach. The Assistant Director, Student Programs is part of the Education and Programming team at the Polsky Center and focuses on the administration of student-facing programs and initiatives related to private equity and venture capital.

Under the direction of the Director, Svider Private Equity Program, this role will manage, administer, and grow a portfolio of new and existing programs, events, and initiatives for Chicago Booth MBA students and alumni related to private equity and venture capital, including but not limited to the Private Equity and Venture Capital Lab, the Venture Capital Investment Competition, the Private Equity Conference, the Sterling Partners Investment Thesis Challenge, the Private Equity Case Challenge, and the UChicago Private Markets Program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collects and analyzes program data; conducts ongoing needs and impact assessments of programs.
- Liaise and engages regularly with entrepreneurship-related student groups to assist in planning and delivering related programming.
- Advises students on appropriate career-related topics and guides them toward programs aligned with their interests.
- Under the guidance of Directors and Associate Directors, identifies areas of need, strategically plans and implements new programming to meet needs, and ensures coordination of programming with other Polsky Center initiatives and audiences.
- As appropriate, liaise with relevant offices and departments (Alumni Relations and Development, Career Services, Admissions, etc.) to identify collaboration opportunities, develop partnership programs, market programs and events, support philanthropic efforts, and manage communication with student constituents.
- Actively attends and represents the Polsky Center at programs and networking events throughout the City of Chicago and occasionally outside the city.
- Advises, supports, and recommends concepts for programming to leaders of various organizations and programs.
- Markets student activities programming throughout the year. Develops and implements protocols for evaluating the effectiveness of programs.
- Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

**Education**:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
- Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

**Experience**:

- A minimum one year of professional experience managing programs and/or events.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

- Learn and gain comfort with new software.

- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to process large amounts of data and effectively streamline processes.
- Proven understanding of the Polsky Center and its goals.
