**Responsibilities**:

- Installs electrical system components as assigned (e.g. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded system capabilities.
- Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
- Coordinates with assigned Project Manager and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures in assigned systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations.
- Inspects electrical / fire alarm / security systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs, and recommending preventive maintenance.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**:

- 2-year degree resulting in an Associate’s or technical degree in electronics or related field
- 1-2 years working in electronics, basic electric circuit troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohms law)
- Use of an Electronic (FLUKE) multi-meter to find open circuits, short circuits and ground faulted circuits in networking or other field wiring.
- Electronics and troubleshooting skills required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted.
- Individual must be able to pass a background check.
- Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
- Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States
- Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**:

- Technical degree in Fire Science preferred.
- NICET Certification
- FASA BASA
- 2-5 years of experience as a technician supporting Fire solutions projects
- Past field experience working in a solutions or construction base business desired.
