Job Summary

ORR Protection Systems is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Superintendent to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading the installation of fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard suppression systems. You will serve as a lead on the job site for other ORR technicians and subcontractors, ensuring the quality of work and customer service that ORR is known for.

Responsibilities:
  • Take a lead role at customer sites, providing oversight and direction to other ORR technicians or sub-contractors.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Install Coordinator to keep the customer informed on job progress.
  • Complete all necessary job-related paperwork for compliance and documentation.
  • Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of system equipment.
  • Conduct training with customers on the functionality of the fire system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Five years' experience in service and/or installation of fire alarm or special hazard fire suppression systems, required.
  • Experience reading blueprints, required.
  • Fire alarm programming experience, required.
  • FASA/BASA license, preferred.
  • Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred.
  • NICET (Fire Alarm/Special Hazard) certification, preferred.
  • Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.
Work Environment:
  • This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate's home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs.
  • Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided.
  • Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs.
  • Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places.
  • Overnight travel required up to 25% of the time.
