**About Arts in CT**: Arts in CT is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to providing diverse arts programs to the community, including summer camps, afterschool programs, special projects, and more. Our mission is to inspire and enrich the lives of children through the power of art.

**Position Summary**: We are seeking a passionate and creative Cultural Art Instructor to teach children aged 7-10 in New Haven. The instructor will introduce students to art from around the world through engaging and hands-on projects. This role is perfect for an energetic and imaginative individual who loves working with kids and has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity in the arts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a 5-week summer art curriculum focusing on global art traditions and techniques.
- Create and guide students through hands-on art projects that reflect various cultural art forms.
- Foster a fun, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Manage classroom activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Provide feedback and support to students, helping them develop their artistic skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents and Arts in CT staff about student progress and any program updates.
- Maintain and organize art supplies and classroom materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong knowledge and passion for different cultural art forms.
- Ability to create and execute engaging lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to create a dynamic learning environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full 5-week program.

- A brief outline of your ideas for the 5-week summer art program for kids (1-2 pages).
