- Perform Pre-Operational Inspection of equipment by visually checking for residue remaining from previous production
- Tag equipment that has failed inspection and communicate issues with Sanitation Supervisor and/or Sanitation Foreman
- Verify all raw material numbers, ingredient descriptions and quantities match “Raw Ingredient Worksheet” before the first batch of each product begins
- Monitor “Mixers” to ensure they record Q.C. numbers on “Raw Ingredient Worksheet” for every four batches in large mixers and every 10 batches in small mixers
- Ensure the grinder plates, commitrol plates and dicer blade configurations match the requirements on the “Raw Ingredient Worksheet”
- Check all electronic scales for accuracy
- Set-up and calibrate check weighers, metal detectors and can code printers
- Record the fill weight for five containers every hour on the Variables Control Chart
- Perform analytical (viscosity, pH, R.I.) and sensory (color, taste, smell) tests on each batch
- Calibrate thermometers to ensure each one is within 2°F of second target temperature

End Item Examination
- Retain one sample from each batch of every product produced (daily) for incubation use
- Perform the required tests and physical measurements (vacuum, headspace, organoleptic, pH, R.I., viscosity or drained weight) of each product depending on product characteristics
- Perform analytical tests to determine any combination of salt, fat, moisture and protein

General Duties
- Observe employees to verify Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to at all times
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as directed

Pay: $20.00 per hour
