About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Valor Compounding Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our compounded medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter patient information and search database systems to respond to inquiries, complete patient intakes, type new prescriptions, process refills, and check order status.
  • Answer incoming calls from patients and doctors' offices, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Work with other technicians and pharmacists in the lab to prepare compounded medications, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Use technology, including PK Pharmacy Software, Zoom, Zendesk, and Guru, to provide First Call Resolution to customers and manage simultaneous tasks.
  • Assist in any duties necessary to ensure the functionality of the business, including data entry, shipping, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Licensed pharmacy technician through the CA Board of Pharmacy.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, specialty, or compounding setting.
  • Preferred experience with pharmacy software or other retail database systems.
  • At least 2-3 years of customer service experience (preferred in a pharmacy or healthcare setting).
  • Type at least 60 wpm.
  • Pass drug screen test, background check, pre-employment verification process.
  • Read, understand, and be compliant with HIPAA.
  • Proficient in CA pharmacy law pertaining to Pharmacy Technicians.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist level, reaching below knee, climbing, lifting above shoulder up to 20 lbs, and lifting waist level up to 20 lbs.
