Serco is seeking a Senior Military Analyst for a NAVSEA program to assist in developing and maintaining Microsoft Office based products to manage data related to LHA/LHD Class ship modernization and sustainment operations. The Senior Military Analyst performs assignments for LHA/LHD Ship Class modernization, including data collection, compilation, and analysis. Anticipates future requirements and assists in evaluating plans for various projects or program activities to meet requirements.

In this role, you will:

- Provide direct support to the LHA / LHD Class Ship Managers for the complete life cycle (Availability) of each modernization period at ship level.
- Ensure LHA/LHD Class modernization alterations are properly planned and scheduled, fully developed to maturity, and authorized for installation for each Availability in accordance with applicable fielding plans.
- Draft Letters of Authorization (LOAs) at scheduled milestones. Assist Ship Manager with development of Change Letters and Naval Messages for program changes to LHA/LHD ship availability periods.
- Maintain, update, and distribute accurate and current LHA/LHD Class Availability Planning Sheets (APS).
- Maintain extensive Microsoft Excel files for each shipyard availability.
- Conduct analytical studies of LHA/LHD ship repair and modernization operations and use a rational basis for decision making or resource allocation.
- Assist in preparing or coordinating the preparation of Microsoft Office based products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders regarding technical, logistics, and other fleet issues and coordinate resolution of these issues.
- Attend meetings, draft written reports, and provide recommendations.

Qualifications:
**To be successful in this position, you must have**:

- A Secret security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years relevant work experience.
- In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
- Experience with Navy ships and/or maintaining ship systems.
- Former enlisted or junior officers with Navy shipboard maintenance and modernization experience are encouraged to apply, as are former government service/contractors with Navy shipboard maintenance and modernization experience.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasking and represent Military and Government leaders at technical meetings.
