Inspection Program Assistant

**Primary Purpose of Position**:The Inspections Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the various tasks associated with the Inspection Services team for the HCV Program.

**Education and Experience**:Associates degree in business, finance, government, or related field or a combination of four years experience, training and independent study preferred.

**Certifications**:

- Housing Inspection Training (within 12 month of hire)

**Core Functions**:

- Support Move in and Annual Physical Inspections
- Schedule move in and annual physical inspections for the inspectors
- Maintain physical inspection Excel tracking sheet
- Assist with follow-up, discrepancy letters and the rescheduling of inspections as necessary
- Enter information in the Elite database
- Responsible for the Inspection call queue, answer incoming calls and assisting visitors
- Support the Inspection Services team
- Provide information to the inspectors in the field
- Assist in meeting preparations and maintain the inspectors information binder
- Perform certified, restricted, and UPS mailings
- File and scan documents

**Other Duties**:

- Stay current on internal and external policies and regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills using various software (spreadsheet, word processing, database)
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with business partners
- Experience communicating effectively in front of groups
- Excellent communication skills - oral, written, listening
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and utilize creative and analytical skills to resolve issues

**Working Conditions**: Fast paced environment with multiple priorities, interruptions & deadlines. MaineHousing office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The job responsibilities set forth in this job description will be shared between two Inspection Program Assistants positions.

**Reports To**: HCV Inspections Manager

**Supervises**: no one

The starting hourly rate for the position is $17.3485 ($36,085 annually), plus a great benefits package

Pay: From $36,085.00 per year
