As part of a Regional Center (RC) Liaison/Review Team, this position will be the central point of contact for assigned RCs, individuals receiving services, their families, and vendored providers in the assigned RC area; and monitor RCs for contract, statutory and regulatory compliance. RCs are private, non-profit agencies that provide services in the community to individuals with developmental disabilities under the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act. This position acts as lead to and directs analytical and specialist staff in the RC Liaison/Review Team (Associate Governmental Program Analyst and Community Program Specialist II staff) reviewing contracted agency compliance in evaluating and monitoring programs and services. This position performs complex and/or sensitive assignments related to RC oversight and operational issues.

- The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
