Job Overview

Position Summary

The Cortland Child Development Program offers a structured Before and After School initiative for children in grades K-4. Our Before School service operates from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, while the After School program runs from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. We also provide care during school closures for breaks and staff development days.


Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and organize engaging activities for children
- Assist in the preparation of snacks (including breakfast and lunch on full days)
- Perform light cleaning duties following meals and activities
- Adhere to OCFS training requirements
- Follow OCFS regulations diligently


Qualifications

- Minimum age of 16 to work, 18 to supervise independently
- Must undergo fingerprinting and clearance through NYS and OCFS
- Required to have a TB test and physical examination
- Previous experience working with children is essential


Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in CPR and First Aid

The Cortland Child Development Day Care Program has been dedicated to providing early care and education since 1974, serving the children of working parents and students.

As a not-for-profit organization, we are licensed by the State of New York, offering programs for infants through preschoolers, as well as recreational care for school-aged children throughout the year. We prioritize enrollment for children with special needs.
