**Job Description**:
As a Subcontracts Administrator Advisor you will support the business strategy that helps ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Subcontracts Administrator Advisor joining our team to contribute to the success of programs, as well as working with a team to bid on new opportunities resulting in new business and growth to GDIT.

HOW, AS A SUBCONTRACTS ADVISOR, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

- Support new business opportunities by contributing to proposal strategies, sourcing and negotiating, offering advice on subcontracting strategies, types and terms. Manage subcontractors under existing programs, with the expectation of resolving challenges and initiating efficiencies, improving relationships, and enhancing the internal processes
- Engage in opportunities and programs at the Federal, State, and Local levels, with State and Local clients comprising more than 50%
- Act as Subcontracts Team Lead for our State and Local support, on both proposals and programs
- Mentor your Subcontracts coworkers possessing less experience, and to assist your internal customers with using acquisition tools and processes
- Collaborate with internal customers to create streamlined processes that adapt for the uniqueness of the varied programs and opportunities. Review lengthy state requests for proposals, determine the state regulations required to be imposed on subcontracts for risk mitigation, and confer with our Contracts team where needed
- Administer subcontract agreements through pre-award planning, subcontract award, post-award administration, and closeout
- Perform analyses on proposed subcontractor fixed and cost-reimbursable pricing to ensure price reasonableness, and negotiate with subcontractors on pricing as well as terms and conditions
- Document all actions in accordance with GDIT policy, State and/or Federal Regulations when applicable
- Engage with our Small Business Office, to increase competition on program and proposal requirements, to build relationships with small businesses, and you will create Small Business Subcontracting Plans in support of proposals
- Utilize internal processing tool for auditable file storage as well as processing of purchase requisitions in support of a final subcontract agreement
- Support various data calls throughout the year, both internal and external reporting requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

- Required Experience: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience within Subcontracts Administration or Contracts Administration. In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience within Subcontracts Administration or Contracts Administration required.
- Required Technical Skills: Skilled working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Security Clearance Level: None
- Skills and Abilities: Price negotiations. Ability to thoroughly review and interpret contractual language. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS / Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration.
- Preferred Skills: Previous subcontracts work in support of State or Local programs. Previous experience with proposals.
- Location: This position is a hybrid role working at GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA and remote
