**The Role**

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing Pason’s business relationships and in turn growing our revenue among all E&Ps, drilling contractors, 3rd party service providers, and other business partners based in the US Business Unit. Revenue growth will come primarily through increasing Pason’s market share and driving product adoption withing the addressable market. This will also include new product development and commercialization activities, establishing new partnerships with 3rd parties, and other business development and marketing activities. You will lead product introductions, provide technical support and guidance, pricing information, problem-solving, and training along with general sales and customer service.

The Business Development Manager will be the only new business resource, however, he or she will work closely with Business Development and Account Managers in other key markets, as well as Pason’s Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Support Services teams.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive business growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
- Develop and implement key account strategies to achieve corporate objective(s) for products and services.
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements as it relates to the Marketing Intelligence team, define the product vision, and work closely with engineering, sales, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Develop and nurture strong, proactive relationships with customer representatives, industry influencers, and key strategic partners ensuring open streams of communication.
- Guides preparation of sales/marketing activity report for management team review.
- Develop a solid understanding of the customer’s business, technical environment, challenges, and other relevant information to assist in developing Pason’s products and services.

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**
- Specific knowledge and experience with oilfield instrumentation, automation, and technology.
- Proactively utilize industry network to further customer relationships.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong technical background with experience in data analytics and drilling performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks through prioritization and execution.
- Willingness to travel within the US and Canada as required.
- Must have a valid passport.

**Pre-employment Conditions**
- Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Completion of a Drug and Alcohol Screening Test
- Completion of a satisfactory pre-employment medical physical examination
- Confirmation of a valid driver’s license along with providing a satisfactory driving abstract

**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry required (e.g. working for E&P, drilling contractor, and drilling service providers).
- 5+ years of Sales experience along with strategic partnerships experience.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field.
- Petroleum engineering or related degree considered a plus.
