In this dual role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless delivery of food and beverages to Merritt members and guests and the efficient operation of the bar. Your contributions will enhance the overall dining and bar experience, providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- **Food Runner Duties**:

- Execute the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders from the kitchen to members using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Respond promptly to any member requests, maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, pool deck, and bar areas.
- Notify the manager of any discrepancies or issues with orders to ensure prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with servers and bartenders to enhance teamwork and ensure a smooth operation.
- Complete daily side work and assist in opening/closing duties as directed by the manager.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and service standards to maintain a consistent and high-quality member experience.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of LM Poolside menus, specials, offerings, and events.
- **Bar Back Duties**:

- Assist bartenders in stocking and replenishing supplies, including paper goods, garnishes, ice, inventory and beverages, to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Collect and clean utensils, and other bar equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the bar areas, pool deck, and back-of-house storage areas.
- Collaborate with bartenders to prepare garnishes, mixes, and other essential items for efficient service.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Support the bar team in fulfilling member requests promptly and with a positive attitude.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of the bar area.
- Notify the manager of any equipment malfunctions or shortages to ensure timely resolution.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and service standards set by the manager to maintain a cohesive and high-quality experience.
- Familiarize yourself with LM Poolside menus, specials, offerings, and events to provide informed assistance.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Food Runner and/or Bar Back in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, bar, or similar setting is preferred.
- Positive and outgoing attitude, with the ability to work efficiently in a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven and motivated, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.
- Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling, as well as bar equipment and operations, is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
