**General Responsibilities**:
The EHR Applications Specialist will join the dynamic and growing Health Informatics team where they will be responsible for supporting the EHR system (eClinicalWorks).

**Daily responsibilities will include**:

- Managing eClinicalWorks user accounts
- Collaborate with internal users and external partners to drive issues to resolution
- Collaborate with internal users and external partners to drive issues to resolution
- Interacting with EHR vendor for advanced troubleshooting as well as planning of maintenance tasks

The successful applicant will also be closely involved in the design, planning and implementation of rolling out new product features and functionality, as well as major upgrade projects. As part of this function, they will be expected to work with the users to gather functional requirements and provide guidance to users on utilizing new features.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Education
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or 2 - 3 years in a healthcare related field, using Electronic Health Record (eClinicalWorks preferred) in daily operations.**Required Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Experience troubleshooting EHR software (eCW preferred)
- Working knowledge of networking technologies and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in business strategies.
- Desire and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work productively in teams and independently
- Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Requires local travel to office sites, valid driver’s license, own means of transportation and proof of insurance.

**Confidentiality of Information**:
Access to confidential information through patient charts and financial information, and appropriate HR information.

**Significant Job Functions (Level I)**:
Interact with IT and EHR vendor for troubleshooting as well as planning of maintenance tasks. Some after-hours work required.
Work with HR and IT to manage new, updated, and termed user accounts, securities, and settings.
Ability to track and follow up on outstanding software issues with EHR vendor.
Assist in managing patient lists and EHR libraries, and other components of a project plan to ensure fulfilled of project deliverables.
Participates in ongoing database issues to maintain system integrity.
Perform continuous quality assurance activities as assigned.
Ability to conduct research into software functionality and recommend configuration ideas.
Work collaboratively with the HIT department to research, test, create training manuals, and install new releases of EHR software.
