Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Tele Nurse to join our dynamic team in Providence, RI. As a Tele Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality remote patient care services through telecommunication technology. You will provide virtual support and guidance to patients, leveraging your clinical expertise to assess their medical conditions, provide medical advice, and coordinate appropriate care interventions.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct remote assessments of patients' medical conditions and symptoms via telecommunication platforms.
2. Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to triage patients and determine the urgency of medical needs.
3. Provide evidence-based medical advice, treatment recommendations, and health education to patients and their families.
4. Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to facilitate seamless patient care transitions and referrals.
5. Document patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
6. Monitor patients' vital signs, medication adherence, and overall health status remotely, escalating concerns as needed.
7. Respond promptly to patients' inquiries, concerns, and emergencies, ensuring a compassionate and empathetic approach to care delivery.
8. Stay abreast of emerging telemedicine technologies, best practices, and regulatory guidelines to enhance the quality and efficiency of telehealth services.
9. Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
2. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.
3. Certification in Telehealth Nursing or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
4. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably in medical-surgical, telemetry, or critical care.
5. Proficiency in using telecommunication platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced telehealth environment.
