**Responsibilities**:
**What You'll Do**:

- Responsible for exceeding revenue objectives including sports-related sales revenue targets by impacting people (account executives and clients.)
- Develop, lead, refine, and maintain discipline on sales training for sellers in business development using traditional, digital and other non-traditional marketing channels to meet client’s objectives.
- Lead and train sales team in evolving media trends
- including but not limited to - digital audio, attribution, data, digital.
- Develop, renew, solidify and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects & agencies to grow our sponsorship client base.
- Hold the sales team accountable to all priorities, with the ability to manage through both internal direct reporting relationships and peer groups to drive results.
- Effectively manage sports stations and play-by-play assets by adhering to policies regarding pricing, inventory, management, merchandising, commercial content, competitive product protection, etc.
- Leverage our data, scale and resources to guide sound management and operational decision-making across the sales organization.
- Create sales opportunities (audio, digital, experiential, etc.) that align with client needs & demand.
- Own financial metrics of the department, including pricing, inventory and expense management, and weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting.
- Monitor competition and trends in the market.
- Entertain clients - including weekend and evening sports events.
- Other duties as assigned; this position reports directly to the VP of Sales

Qualifications:

3+ years previous sales management experience in media (preferably audio and digital) required with a strong background in business development, sports sponsorship, play-by-play, strategic

account management and proven ability to generate concept driven business not tied toratings/efficiencies.
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring a successful sales team through change and innovation with a keen understanding of sports media sales and sponsorship best practices in

today’s changing (and semi-remote) environment.
- You must be a sales leader and have the skill and drive to motivate, inspire a sales team to success and contribute innovative ideas to generate revenue.
- You must be goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- People first manager, capable of managing and motivating direct reports to individually drive best results.
- Requires ability to travel and the willingness to help the station develop local, regional and national business; must be a self-starter and indep
