Breezy Hill Nursery, a large Southeast Wisconsin Landscape, Nursery & Garden Center Company is looking to add an Inventory Accountant to our accounting team. Our Main Office is located on Highway 50 between Kenosha & Lake Geneva, in Salem, WI.

**The InventoryAccountant** will be a part of the A ccounting Team primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the inventory and cost of sales. This position wii coordinate annual physical counts and periodic cycle counts of inventory, reconcile variances, and be responsible for inventory costing. As a member of the Accounting Team, they will also provide support to other team members, and ensure financial information is provided timely and accurately.

**RESPONSIBILITIES: (but not limited to)**
- Ensure the timely and accurate reconciliation of inventory
- Investigate and resolve any descrepancies between inventory records and the general ledger.
- On a weekly and monthly basis, work with the Inventory Analyst to ensure the accuracy of the cost of sales by investigating all credits, negative sales and other unusual variances. The investigation process will require a high degree of collaboration with teammates in operations and sales.
- Manage the physical inventory count process for all locations.
- Assist with the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Oversee the maintenance and creation of inventory products.
- Update and maintain product cost data.
- Prepare any necessary journal entries for the review of the Controller.
- Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a combination of financial and cost accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and the ability to pull relevant data from the ERP system for analysis.
- Excellent analytical and proble-solving skills with attention to detail
