Sunoco LP is a limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 86,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

**Summary**:
The DOT Compliance Analyst position will assist the organization to ensure that Sunoco LP Transportation operations and supporting Company DOT transportation activity follow Federal, State and local regulations pertaining to the transportation of hazardous liquids by truck. Tasks associated with the day-to-day functions include maintaining the various databases needed to remain compliant with the DOT, IFTA, IRP and other transportation related regulations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the purchase, registration, renewals, insurance requirements, monthly invoice payment and sale of all leased light-duty vehicles.
- Oversee the assigning of fuel cards for all light-duty vehicles and their invoicing.
- Ensuring compliance with the DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, Hours of Service, Driver Qualification documentation, Motor Vehicle Reports, Drug and Alcohol testing, and Carrier Safety Administration reporting.
- Support field operations organization in implementing and maintaining uniform compliance with all applicable Federal and State driver safety regulations via a program of internal SOP’s and consultation.
- Ability to understand an interpret regulatory language and the programs the Company implements to maintain compliance
- Maintaining high visibility and daily communication with field staff and management
- Accepting Other Duties as assigned

**Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Must be able to read, interpret, and implement compliance with Government Regulations or industry standards
- Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient and skilled in Excel software
- Ability to handle complex and highly confidential matters in a mature, professional manner
- Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple, concurrent assignments
- Must be able to work effectively with a diverse workforce, set own priorities, and balance multiple jobs to meet deadlines
- Must exercise initiative, discretion, good judgment and tact in handling job responsibilities and assignments

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in licensing & permitting regulations
- Working knowledge of 49 CFR 391, 395, and state driving safety regulations
