The Supply Chain Coordinator role is integral to the Operations Team, functioning under the direct oversight of the Business Manager. This position is responsible for the orchestration and management of equipment and personnel deployment to ensure exceptional service quality for employees, vendors, and clients. The Supply Chain Coordinator must be well-versed in, comply with, and uphold stringent adherence to corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties encompass:
- Acting as the principal driver of logistics coordination by maintaining a comprehensive schedule for personnel and equipment usage, making daily deployment decisions, and ensuring effective tracking of equipment.
- Prioritizing client projects and related tasks to minimize subcontracting expenses through efficient resource utilization.
- Managing the scheduling of new orders while adapting to changes in ongoing projects.
- Maintaining active communication with field personnel throughout the day to exceed client expectations.
- Following up with vendors and service providers during project execution and completion.
- Performing additional duties as necessary to support seamless operations in the field.
- Providing guidance and support to field staff by effectively communicating and enforcing company policies.
- Staying informed about all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinating incoming loads with the Yard supervisor.
- Maintaining up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for job sites.
- Preparing and distributing work orders and manifests to relevant personnel.
- Participating in daily safety meetings.
- Facilitating the onboarding process for drivers and field staff.
- Overseeing driver credentialing.
- Approving weekly payroll.
- Reviewing and coordinating time-off requests for drivers and field personnel.
- Coordinating physical examinations for drivers and field staff.
- Ensuring compliance with required training for drivers and field personnel.
- Guaranteeing that the fleet operates in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Managing equipment rentals.
- Coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs with the maintenance department.
- Conducting annual performance evaluations for drivers and field staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED (equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills); a Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of four years of experience in the environmental industry, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), analytical abilities, and the capacity to interact effectively with clients, employees, and management at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong supervisory, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- General knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Understanding of equipment capabilities and job requirements across various types of projects.
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including those with hazardous conditions, which may require lifting or exerting force exceeding 50 lbs.
- Possession of appropriate licenses in good standing and compliance with MER and DOT driving requirements to operate company vehicles and equipment (documentation required).
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours when necessary.
- Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and substance abuse screening process, including ongoing verifications throughout employment to ensure compliance with company policy standards.
