This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong member focus, and the ability to work in a multi-task environment.
- **Duties**:_
- Process transactions using sound judgment to mitigate Credit Union losses
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing members
- Provide exceptional member service by addressing member inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns
- Meet or exceed prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions
- Adhere to member and employee confidentiality in and outside of the Credit Union
- Maintain a daily cash drawer including balancing and safekeeping to prevent Credit Union losses
- Perform routine member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing
- Ensure that teller station is kept clear of clutter and area is kept clean
- **Qualifications**:_
- Previous experience as a Teller, Cashier or related field in cash handling is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy to access account information and process transactions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in cash handling and 10-key typing
- Basic math skills including debits, credits, and cash management to count money accurately
- Working knowledge of credit union/bank policies regarding topics such as filing suspicious activity reports and member identification is a plus
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with members
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Multitasking skills to quickly shift from transaction to transaction -Time-management skills to complete assigned duties during a work shift -Organization skills to keep their workstations and drawers tidy and easily accessible -Teamwork skills to assist other Tellers and credit union personnel as needed
