**Reports to: Director of Patient Access**

**Location: Harrison**

**Hours**:alternating hours during the week, sharing open/close PT office 615am-315pm and 930am -630 pm, Monday-Saturday

**What you’ll do**:
**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Act as first point of contact for patient concerns; utilize customer service skillset and de-escalate patient and staff issues as required.
- Utilize staff resources for best patient experience.
- Greets and registers patients in a prompt and pleasant manner.
- Arrives patients in ModMed and notifies therapist of patient arrival via pager.
- Answers telephone, schedules appointments, provides information, and processes requests.
- Ensures Physical Therapy cancellation/wait list is maintained and updated.
- Verifies status of eligibility/benefit verification as well as authorization and utilizes two EMR systems, ModMed and Theraoffice.
- Responsible for training and developing new associates regarding front desk functions.
- Instruct patients regarding payment and referral process.
- Requests updates on established patients.
- Collect and enter all insurance referrals.
- Scan necessary documentation as needed into the patient chart in our EMR.
- Enter all demographic information and billing alerts in our EMR.
- Instruct patients to complete all required electronic forms.
- Chart preparation daily for upcoming appointments as per protocol.
- Ability to process collections.
- Processes no-show/missing tickets for Physical Therapy clinic on an ongoing basis
- Run reports to reconcile balance sheets daily for the site.
- Performs audit of chart prep and address staff as necessary.
- Provide documentation to management regarding staff onboarding and training.
- Escalate issues as necessary to management as necessary.
- Accept other duties as assigned by Operational Management.
- Oversees, coordinates, and directs activities about Physical Therapy front desk operations and staff to help facilitate all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains expert knowledge of different insurance carriers, plan types, and office protocols for different insurances.
- Maintains work area environment to ensure it is neat and all is in order.
- Takes and Maintains inventory in the clinic for various supplies as needed and notifies manager to order.
- Acts as point of contact to help facilitate facilities-related needs on site.
- Ensures all HIPAA regulations are adhered to.
- Follows ONS’ policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Who you are**:
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year experience as registrar, clerical associate, or similar function required.
- Specialist office experience preferred.
- Experience in navigating an EMR/PM, Microsoft office, and other daily utilized systems.
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to lead a team of professionals
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Healthcare industry knowledge helpful.
