This position will serve as the procurement card liaison overseeing the department’s procurement card program and inventory management of supplies. Coach and train staff and work closely with the procurement card accountant to ensure credit card payments made by employees to vendors comply with GAAP, State & Federal Laws, & the City of Austin’s policies. Participate in process improvements with a focus on implementing an automated procurement workflow SaaS solution to integrate with a supplies and inventory management SaaS solution with a focus on sustainability. Assist with creation of departmental sustainable purchasing goals, Re-Use supply store, and an Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy. Works closely with ARR’s inventory planner on a variety of tasks to ensure accuracy of ARR’s inventory and allocation of monthly expenses. Monitor revenue contracts and conduct billing activities with external vendors, internal departments, and interlocal governmental agencies. Prepare reconciliations and corresponding accounting adjusting entries. A competency assessment may be required to verify your skill set.
- In the event of a weather or pandemic related disaster requiring City of Austin staff response, this position will assist in procurement card needs & may assist with cost accounting of service contracts, labor, equipment, materials, and supplies expenses.-
