Head of Facility Maintenance

**THE POSITION**
The Head of Facility Maintenance is responsible for doing a wide range of things including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. They work directly with the General Manager, Operations Manager, and other department heads to ensure the gym is in good repair and prioritize upcoming projects. It will be necessary to perform tasks such as drywall repairs, basic plumbing, and some electrical work. They are responsible for schedule management, project planning, and keeping tools and spare parts organized.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Hire, train and lead a team of maintenance staff to complete minor maintenance tasks, e.g., changing bulbs, minor repairs, etc.
- Ensure maintenance items are identified, reported, logged, and completed
- Minor tech repairs such as sound system, internet, and computer system issues
- Order and stock replacement parts for equipment
- Maintain and keep tools organized
- Handle preventative maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment
- Assist the management team with other related duties as assigned
- Schedule and manage specialty repairs when needed, i.e., call a plumber, electrician, etc.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2 years of experience in maintenance or construction
- Diversified construction ability and skill with tools
- Organized and self-motivated
- Detailed, with the ability to learn quickly and problem solve
- Must be able to self-manage duties, time, and tasks
- Must be able to manage projects and work with contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work well with others and interact with customers in a positive way
- Interest or experience in climbing preferred
