The Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for building and grounds, upkeep and repairs.

Completes assigned work orders and carries out repairs or may work with our internal team, or contracted professionals to complete repairs.

The Facilities Maintenance associate also completes daily rounds of the facility and its systems to ensure the preventive maintenance program is being followed diligently.


Reporting to the Facility & Equipment Maintenance Manager, this role will perform activities that maximize the efficient operations of our facility.

Additionally, this position will perform a variety of facility and grounds maintenance tasks in support of our team's Key Performance Areas, including Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Profitability.

As a
Facilities Maintenance associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices within the facility and the grounds.
  • Assisting our Refrigeration Technician when needed such as being a safety observer or for teamwork assignments. Walking entirety of exterior grounds inspecting building, lighting, landscaping and parking lots.
  • Using CMMS program to accurately complete PM's, and projects.
  • Using CMMS program to add or remove inventory items.
  • Completing management assigned facility or maintenance tasks as requested.
  • Being an escort for vendors that completing work on the premises.
  • Regularly PM, repair and make adjustments to dock equipment such as dock doors, levelers, restraints, wrappers, rytec doors, and any new equipment added to the site.
  • Maintain, repair and or replace motors and hydraulic lines.
  • General building maintenance including light electrical.
  • Occasional repairs on material handling equipment.
  • Working with operations leaders to improve efficiency of equipment.
  • Visual inspection of fire suppression system components and fire extinguishers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS

  • Strong time management

  • Selfstarted with strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work with a team, as well as independently and to take direction and implement the direction to complete various tasks.
  • Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.

Working Conditions:
combination of outdoors, office setting, and temperature-controlled warehouse environment (temperature ranges from outside ambient to -10 degrees F)

Travel:
Minimal travel required. Must have an acceptable driving record according to company guidelines.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday shift, with overtime as assigned.
