Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Environmental Services Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
The Environmental Services Manager supports and is responsible for the daily operations of the Environmental Services department by managing and coordinating activities of the department's personnel. Ensures the quality and quantity of work to maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly hospital. Covers cleaning work schedule for staff when the department is short staffed. Is a working manager. Trains staff in cleaning, safety, and emergency procedures. Department functions 24/7.
Qualifications:
**Education**
High School diploma or GED mínimally required.
**Experience**
Five years institutional housekeeping supervisory experience required
Floor maintenance and EVS experience required
Experience working in a lead/management/supervisory role required
Experience working in a healthcare environment required
**Other**
International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) certification preferred
Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) certification preferred
Current full vaccination status required
Good time-management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deal with confidential information
Ability to communicate and interact with all members of the Shriners team in a professional and courteous manner
Innovative, self-motivated, and detail oriented
