Position Overview:

As the Environmental Services Manager at Bally's, you will oversee the daily operations of the Environmental Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage a workplace culture that reflects Bally's commitment to entertainment by fostering a lively and engaging atmosphere.
  • Actively promote Bally's dedication to customer service excellence and cultivate enduring guest relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to guest service standards.
  • Follow the operational guidelines and procedures as detailed in the Bally's Chicago Environmental Services Manual.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for your area of responsibility.
  • Effectively utilize software to submit, monitor, and manage work orders.
  • Maintain the approved preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment.
  • Ensure safe and proper handling of all equipment and cleaning agents.
  • Implement a safety program to guarantee a secure work environment for all team members.
  • Oversee the management, control, and ordering of supplies and inventory within the department, staying informed about new products for continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of the latest equipment and cleaning agents.
  • Conduct the approved training program to ensure all team members are adequately prepared for their roles.
  • Perform daily inspections of all casino and non-gaming Environmental Services areas.
  • Interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an effective team member relations program through clear communication.
  • Foster positive team member relations in a supportive environment and collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive working relationship.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members, both exempt and non-exempt.
  • Encourage ongoing professional development for yourself and your team, assisting all members with career planning and guidance as needed.
  • Exhibit a high standard of professional appearance, conduct, ethics, and image for yourself and your team.
  • Participate in regular departmental meetings and other relevant gatherings.
  • Complete necessary reports promptly to meet established deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role within Environmental Services.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in management and supervision.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to shifting priorities are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to see, speak, and hear; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to bend, crouch, or kneel.
  • Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
  • Must occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

This position may involve exposure to bright lights, loud noises, and high-pressure situations.
