Shift: Mon - Fri, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Wage Range: $20 - 22 per hour

What we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or GED required.- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.- Experience and strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping, and/or purchasing required.- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel required.- 2+ years’ experience in customer service with ability to display a professional, can-do demeanor required.- Clear, concise, and effective communication both written and verbal with internal and extern contacts required.- Ability to self-manage, self-motivate, prioritize tasks, and think proactively to meet goals required.- Must have a high regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.- Knowledge of biopharma industry or Avantor products desired but not required.

How you will thrive and create an impact: Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:
- Primary responsibility - Inventory management of consumables, chemicals, and samples, accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling customer metric reporting.- Performs inventory management related functions such as monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, and yearly physical inventories.- Responsible for managing consigned, non-consigned, customer owned or 3rd party inventory.- Interfaces directly with customer points of contact and Responsible for all customer service-related functions including but not limited to order entry, reporting, expediting outstanding orders, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking.- Utilizes Avantor and customer computer systems (SAP, Intranet, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, and customer specific systems) in fulfillment of job duties.- Secondary responsibility will be collecting and moving by van perishable time/temperature sensitive samples between three local campus locations and distribution of samples to end users and point of use locations with facilities, as the back-up van driver.- Contributes to program to help increase efficiencies and documents changes.- Operating basic warehouse equipment like a pallet jack or a forklift.- Other duties as assigned.
