**Title**: PrEP and PEP Navigator
**Start date**: Immediate Hire
**Department(s)**:To support, implement, and recruit for The Wall Las Memorias Project (TWLMP) HIV _Testing_ _prevention, education, and risk reduction_ programs.
**Office Location**: 800 W 6th St. Los Angeles CA, 90017 and/or 2020 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles CA, 90033.
**Hours**:Full-Time (40 hours a week) M-F 9 am-6 pm (some nights and weekends will be required)
**Salary**:Starting $45,000 - $48,000 annually.
**Benefits**:

- The employee is responsible for dependents.
- Paid vacation (80 Hours in the first year of employment; after five years, it increases to 96 hours)

**Opportunity**: To work for a highly acclaimed organization that constructed the nation’s only publicly funded AIDS monument and utilizes a community-based organizing model to address social justice issues and providing health education and wellness prevention programs such as substance abuse, mental health, Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.
**Mission Statement**: The Wall-Las Memorias Project is a community health and wellness organization dedicated to serving Latino, LGBT, and other underserved populations through advocacy, education, and building the next generation of leadership.
**Responsibilities**:_ (including, but not limited to)_**
Client Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the eligibility and suitability of individuals for PrEP or PEP.
- Establish rapport with clients, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental environment for discussions.
- Education and Counseling:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on HIV, STIs, PrEP, and PEP to clients, addressing questions and concerns.
- Offer supportive counseling to help clients understand the benefits and potential challenges of PrEP/PEP.
- Any other duties as directed by management.
Navigation and Linkage to Care:
- Assist clients in accessing PrEP and PEP services, including medical appointments, laboratory tests, and medication adherence support.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and public health agencies to streamline access to care.

Community Outreach:
- Engage in community outreach activities to raise awareness about PrEP and PEP, targeting at-risk populations.
- Assist with developing marketing campaigns.
- Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance community education and support networks.

Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and outcomes..
- Generate regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Associate's degree in social work, public health, nursing, or a related field
- Knowledge of HIV prevention, PrEP, PEP, and sexual health.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong motivational skills.
- Sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ communities and underserved populations.
- Familiarity with local healthcare systems and community resources.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
- Good understanding of the wellness and healthcare needs of underserved communities
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and public speaking skills
- Licensed driver with reliable automobile preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
