**Job Summary**

The Purchasing Agent purchases materials and services from suppliers/vendors, schedules material delivery, and orders blue stakes.

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately order materials such as concrete, slurry, aggregates, and other subcontracted materials to be delivered in a timely manner
- Prepare and process purchase orders as requested
- Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services for the most cost-effective options.
- Contact suppliers to obtain prices and specifications
- Research and develop vendor relationships and monitor delivery schedules
- Edits spreadsheets in Excel and SharePoint
- Performs related duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual Spanish (speak, read, write)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with internal and external partners in a team environment
- Capable of maintaining a high level of organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Prior work experience in the construction industry preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
