Job Title: Service Writer Job Overview: We are currently seeking a Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations within our automotive service department. This position requires a strong blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with service technicians and customers. Responsibilities: - Interact with customers to understand their service needs and provide accurate information regarding available services. - Schedule appointments for vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring efficient workflow in the service department. - Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure timely completion of work. - Assist in explaining repair estimates to customers and obtaining necessary approvals before work begins. - Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments received for services rendered. - Collaborate with the sales team to promote additional automotive services and products to customers. Experience: - Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in an automotive service setting. - Strong mechanical knowledge to understand basic automotive repairs such as brake repair, shocks, struts, and diesel engine repair. - Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues effectively. - Familiarity with automotive sales processes is a plus. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic computer skills for invoicing and record-keeping. Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
