**Job Summary**:
The Associate Accountant is responsible for the financial management of several large grants and will play an integral role in the accounts payable and internal control systems for these grants.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review vendor invoices and various documents for accuracy and preparation for accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Process payments and other financial transactions.
- Verify linkage between vendor payments and invoices.
- Act as a liaison between the agency and its vendors, following up as needed on invoices, inaccuracies and/or corrections if applicable.
- Maintain a comprehensive tracking system of expenses and budgets to support accurate grant reporting.
- Enter all contract budgets and updates into the financial program.
- Organize and maintain files and records, both physical and digital.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper (5+ years) or as a junior accountant (2 years).
- Highly experienced in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Non-profit experience, government vouchering/reporting experience a plus
