Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Against All Odds. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
  • Store Maintenance: Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
  • Sales and Inventory: Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensure procedures are done promptly.
  • Loss Prevention: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS registers.
  • Teamwork: Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management and communicate customer requests to management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel a plus.
  • Service Excellence: A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Player: Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Availability: Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift, move, and handle up to 60 pounds frequently to stock merchandise.
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bending and Reaching: Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
