**About this Role**:
The **_Quality Food Safety Specialist (QFS Specialist)_** is responsible for developing and supporting key Food Safety and Quality Systems Management Programs with emphasis on Farmer’s Fridge’s sustained compliance to Company, Regulatory (USDA, FDA), Department of Health and GFSI requirements. You will partner closely with all other departments within the company as the SQF Practitioner to maintain internal auditing programs to ensure compliance to the SQF standard. You’ll report to and work in tandem with the Food Safety and Compliance Manager to continuously improve these key programs while performing a support role to the position of the Food Safety and Compliance Manager.

**What You’ll Do**:

- SQF Practitioner - SQF system verification of effectiveness, manage internal audit program, manage CAPA program, hold monthly SQF KPI/CAPA reviews, and act as the main point person in preparations and hosting SQF, customer, and other audits.
- Manage QFS document files and ensure records and data are complete and accurate. Draft procedure and policy revisions. Maintain document control audit program.
- Manage supplier and ingredient QFS approval documentation and conduct document reviews, including regulatory public records summaries
- Manage Fridge food safety, including supporting DOH inspections and Fridge Safety holds.
- Coordination of QFS instrumentation repairs, CAPA and calibration.
- Quality & Food Safety Training: Leads and develops quality and food safety training programs
- Filling in for QFS Food Safety and Compliance Manager when they are off or not present.

**Who You Are**
- Strong computer skills in Google Suites or Microsoft Office for collecting and analyzing data in addition to developing and maintaining procedures, reports, and presentations.
- Preferred minimum of 4 years of experience in food manufacturing or food safety or other highly regulated manufacturing industries; knowledge in distribution and cold chain highly desired.
- General knowledge and understanding of food microbiology, regulatory compliance, HACCP, allergen control, GMP/GWP, pest control, and sanitation.
- SQF trained and Practitioner certified with present knowledge. Must be able to develop and maintain and implement SQF and regulatory certification requirements, documents, and keep up with SQF regulatory criteria.
- HACCP and FSPCA Preventive Controls Trained and Certified (PCQI).
- Strong continuous improvement knowledge.
- Decision quality: demonstrate skill in judgment and sound decision-making.
