**Overview**:
Under the general direction of the Director of Contract Administration, this individual will assist the professional staff of the Contract Administration unit on issues concerning the administration and negotiation of the collective bargaining agreements for the various units represented by PEF, including the PEF/State contract.
- **Position is based in Albany/Latham, NY (office setting). **_

**Responsibilities**:

- Researches and maintains files. Contacts the appropriate members and field staff when a request for information on an issue or activity has been made of Contract Administration. Drafts responses as necessary.
- Tracks contract issues for distribution of information to PEF leadership and staff.
- Provides administrative support for PEF/State negotiating team, recording and transcribing minutes and maintaining records.
- Maintains central files on disciplinary charges under Article 33 and prepares monthly report to field staff.
- Maintains central files of contract grievances and arbitrations.
- Reviews all bills for arbitrations, verifies accuracy and forwards to accounting for payment.
- Prepares and coordinates the distribution of large-scale mailings and projects.
- Assists Labor/Management Chairs and committee members with the review and editing of communications to members.
- Maintains current information on composition of Labor/Management committee.
- Assists Contract Administration staff with their duties, and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.

**Qualifications**:

- Three years experience (minimum), as secretary/administrative assistant;
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to clearly communicate matters to all levels of management and members.
- Ability to proofread and check typed material for grammatical, typographical, spelling, word usage and format errors. Strong writing skills, including proper spelling, correct grammar, and accuracy.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with various team members.
- Strong organizational skills including time management and attention to detail.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is critical.

**Salary and Benefits**:
The salary range for this position is $50,857.00 (minimum) - $61,345.00 (maximum).
