**About the Role**

The Vice President, Growth and Advancement will provide direction and leadership for the Foundation’s strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and government agencies in order to advance the organization’s annual revenue & brand goals.

This organizational leader will be responsible for generating new business revenue by building multi-faceted, multi-year deals to facilitate the Foundation’s strategic growth.

This individual is responsible for the management of a portfolio of several high-level existing partnerships, the development of new six
- and seven-figure revenue opportunities, and creating value add and mutually beneficial market activation opportunities. A member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), this individual is a team player who builds strong cross-department collaboration to ensure mission-driven support and effective stewardship of funders and partners. In addition to bringing new opportunities to the Foundation, this individual will provide guidance and supervision to staff in the corporate, foundation, and government verticals.

**About the Team**

At the U.S. Soccer Foundation, the Revenue Group includes development, marketing, and communications functions, driving innovation and outreach across multiple channels, maximizing impact, and achieving significant, sustained revenue and brand growth. The Revenue Group supports the mission and vision of the organization through the engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, corporate partners, public agencies, and foundations and seeks to advance the organization’s visibility. This individual will lead the development function within the Revenue Group.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for a $9M goal set for the Development team.
- As a member of the Leadership Team, provide leadership, strategy, and direction for all organizational matters - especially relating to partnership development activities.
- Support and partner with the CEO, Chief External Relations Officer and board members on all major fundraising initiatives.
- Actively work with the CEO and senior staff to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants.
- Develop and recommend plans that support funder deliverables, growth strategies, revenue generation, and quality engagement experiences.
- Work with CEO and senior staff to develop and execute digital annual plans and activities that contribute to the Foundation’s vision and tenacious growth goals including program recruitment and engagement.
- Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the development program.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise all development staff to ensure goals are accomplished and organizational objectives met.
- Work individually with staff to determine appropriate professional development plans and activities to grow and develop people.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key community leaders and C-Suite corporate partners.
- Coach and inspire your team to build successful event growth strategies.

**About You**:

- Excellent Communications Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, at least 3 years of leadership experience
- Prefer at least 5 years of experience in partnership-revenue generation, marketing, fundraising, or sales. Experience in both non-profit and corporate environments a plus.
- Demonstrated track record prospecting, securing and managing new strategic partnerships rooted in revenue and impact goals, and successfully negotiating agreements with global brands and media organizations that generate annual funding in the six and seven-figure range.
- Proven ability to shape the department's vision and strategy and execute against that strategy.
- Self-motivated team player with a proven ability to manage and attain aggressive individual and team sales goals.
- Possess superior negotiation skills coupled with a net profit bottom-line mentality.
