- Minimum Requirements**Minimum Training, Education & Experience**
**1. **EDUCATION**:

- Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school grade;
- AND

**2. **EXPERIENCE**:

Two years of administrative experience in a social services or government agency with responsibility for providing intake services or coordinating services for youth.

**OR**
Two years of full-time paid experience conducting or instructing structured programming for youth in a school, nonprofit, or government agency.

**NOTE**: Completion of two years of study (60 credits) at an accredited college or university, with major coursework in social work, social services, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, behavioral health, public health, human services, human or child development, education or a closely related field at an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.

**Physical & Medical Requirements**
- Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position in this class.**Required Licenses & Certifications**
- Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator’s license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as a Social Services Aide.
Completion of a CPR and a First Aid program and possession of a current CPR and First Aid certification is required within six months of appointment and during tenure of employment as a Social Services Aide.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Criminal History Clearance and FBI Fingerprinting Clearance are required prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as a Social Services Aide.
