Job Overview:
**Duties**:

- Conduct preliminary patient screenings and assessments
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and laser treatments
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in electronic health records systems
- Educate patients on eye care procedures and medications
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to ophthalmic procedures
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health records systems
- Knowledge of retail math for assisting patients with eyewear selection
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and handle pediatric patients with care

Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
