Tasks- Conduct preliminary eye exams and collect patient medical histories
- Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, such as visual field analyzers and tonometers
- Provide patient education on eye care, treatment options, and post-procedural instructions
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of test results and treatments
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting.
- Proficiency in conducting preliminary eye examinations and diagnostic tests.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
