Building Services Supervisor

**POSITION INFO**:
This position is responsible for the daily supervision of the building service technicians and any necessary field work (repairs, property upkeep, preventive maintenance etc.) as needed or assigned. Field work is not limited to the WHQ facility, it may require activities at any or all properties under the responsibility of the Building Services Manager. This position will monitor utilities, contracts, and facilities purchasing for the WHQ facility. They research problems and propose solutions, work with contractors and hold them responsible for their scope of work. This individual is responsible for maintaining team dynamics and continuous improvement of the Building Services team.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assigns work to staff and inspects results.
- Maintains corrective and preventative maintenance records
- Perform all work according to proper OSHA, EPA, and NEC safety standards.
- General repair and maintenance of mechanical and building equipment.
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated heights. Capable of lifting 75lbs
- Provide “on call” support as needed
- Budget responsibilities
- input in capital budget process, monitor building budget, single spending limit $1,500 without approval.
- General building maintenance, including landscaping, grounds, and snow removal, as required.
- Performs and promotes good housekeeping and reports all unsafe conditions and acts to their supervisor.
- Plan and order supplies/equipment involving building installation and repair as requested.
- Demonstrates technical skill base and safe operation.
- Willingness to learn new skills and serve others.
- All other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION**:
High School diploma required. Some college or technical and/or trade school preferred.
**TRAINING AND SKILLS**:
- Initiative.
- Set department vision, technology road map and goals.
- Perform mid-year and annual reviews.
- Problem solving and attention to detail

- Contributing to team success and adaptable to change
- Ability to manage multiple projects on-going simultaneously and planning.
- Department data files management.
- Creating and maintaining digital drawings with VISIO or equivalent.
- Trusted with a high level of company security with assets, key management, electronic access security and discretion.
- Reporting directly with company owners to assist with special projects and managing the memorial garden to include quarterly expense reports and board reports twice a year.
- Managing outside compliance issues with OSHA, ISO Audits, government regulations in Indiana and Michigan.
- Fleet vehicle maintenance
