Warehouse Receiving Specialist

Description:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and inspection of all incoming shipments to Twin Liquors. They will verify that all shipments are complete and free from damage and that they match the corresponding purchase orders. The receiving associate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate systematic/software records of all incoming shipments and for promptly communicating any discrepancies to the Supervisor. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to lift heavy boxes and operate a pallet jack and lift truck.

The Receiving Associate shall meet the following requirements:

- Stand for long periods of time.
- 1-2 years of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Routinely lift to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic math skills and ability to count inventory accurately.
- Capable of utilizing the inventory software system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed.

**Requirements**:
SPECIFIC TASKS

1. Responsible for receiving inbound products. This includes physical examination of the product for damage, accurate product identification and quantitative counts of all products. All products must be accurately verified against the shipping document and all discrepancies noted.

2. Perform code date verification on products with expiration dates.

3. After receiving is completed, responsible for transporting the received product to the respective staging area for product putaway/replenishment.

4. Ensure that all products are accurately and quickly putaway/replenished to assigned locations to facilitate smooth product flow through the warehouse.

5. Responsible for updating product locations in the Twin Liquors inventory management software.

6. Performing clerical tasks such as filing purchase orders and invoices

7. Ensure that areas of responsibility are kept clean, labeled, organized and any trash removed.

8. Required participation in Physical Inventories 3-4 times per year on Sundays.

9. While this position description provides an outline of the key responsibilities and tasks of the Receiving Associate, it is expected that the Receiving Associate will complete all tasks as assigned by management.
