Overview:

The Warehouse Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the Warehouse Manager by facilitating efficient warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, replenishing, and managing inventory to ensure timely completion of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Aids in the receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes by initiating, coordinating, and supporting operational policies and procedures. Monitors inventory levels through physical counts and reconciles discrepancies with the data management system. Enhances the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing layout designs, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repairs and replacements. Maintains cleanliness and compliance with industry standards within the warehouse environment. Supports productivity and ensures that all receiving and put-away tasks are completed promptly while maintaining accurate inventory records. Adheres to safety regulations and company policies regarding workplace safety. Provides coverage in various warehouse areas as needed and assists in daily operations in the absence of the day manager. Records and documents all necessary paperwork, reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate departments. Ensures that inbound shipments are scheduled correctly and that products are received in good condition. Accurately processes inbound loads, recording entries and scanning products in accordance with purchase orders. Monitors product levels and manages inventory rotation effectively. Assists in stocking, managing, and locating incoming products. Provides support for other warehouse functions as required. Maintains cleanliness in receiving areas and ensures sanitation standards are upheld throughout the warehouse. Completes operational requirements by fulfilling daily tasks and submitting necessary documentation to management. Ensures that lumping checks are recorded and forwarded to accounting as needed. Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong team-oriented mindset. Proven knowledge and success in implementing best practices in distribution, particularly in receiving and inventory management. Capable of analyzing data and presenting reports to management clearly and concisely. Effective time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills, coupled with a strong work ethic. Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities. A collaborative team player who works effectively with diverse staff. Strong interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Ability to make informed decisions, solve problems, prioritize tasks, and lead a workforce in a dynamic warehouse setting. Proficient in computer systems (Outlook, MS Excel) with the ability to learn new software as required. Experience in process improvement and familiarity with best practices in receiving and inventory control. Ability to motivate, influence, and engage staff in alignment with company objectives.
