**Description**
The DLBA Division of Leidos, Gibbs & Cox, currently has an opening for a Portfolio Manager to work in our Chesapeake, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to lead the DLBA team of Naval Architect, Marine Engineers, and Designers focusing on small, high speed, and advanced watercraft development. DLBA customers include government, commercial, individuals and the range programs spans the full breath from large military patrol vessels to recreational small craft.
Primary Responsibilities
- Business area management of a P&L center including business development, program execution, quality control, and financial performance.
- Program and technical integration with other P&L centers within Gibbs & Cox.
- People Leader/supervisor for DLBA Project Management staff.
Basic Qualifications
- MSc degree or higher in naval architecture, marine engineering, or other related field
- 15+ years of related experience all aspects of design of small craft and advanced maritime platforms
- Program Manager/Principal Investigator leadership experience on DOD programs over $5M in TPV
- Ability to work independently or as a team leader
- Ability to provide technical guidance to DLBA engineering and design staff
- Ability to provide PMO guidance to DLBA project management staff
- Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Personnel supervisory experience
- Shipyard Experience
- Sea Trial Experience
- Model Testing Experience
- Professional Engineer’s License in VA
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional certification
- Fundamental Research Experience

**Pay Range**:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
