Position Overview

Hotel Equities, a distinguished hotel development and hospitality management firm, is seeking an exceptional Housekeeping Manager for our esteemed property.

Objective:

The primary goal is to enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring immaculate and orderly accommodations through effective oversight, guidance, and coordination of the housekeeping team.

  • Oversees housekeeping staff to guarantee timely and efficient cleaning of guest rooms.
  • Verifies that all rooms have been serviced by reviewing daily cleaning logs and notifying the front desk as necessary.
  • Manages urgent requests for room changes with promptness.
  • Conducts inspections of all vacated and occupied rooms to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Maintains records of room statuses and submits daily reports to the housekeeping department.
  • Evaluates room quality through systematic inspections and documentation of cleaned rooms.
  • Prepares maintenance requests for furniture and fixture repairs or replacements.
  • Follows up on maintenance orders to ensure completion.
  • Continuously monitors room statuses and communicates changes to housekeeping staff.
  • Inspects VIP accommodations and early morning cleaning requests.
  • Coordinates cleaning priorities based on guest requests, including VIP, checkout, and expected checkout rooms.
  • Checks linen closets daily for cleanliness and adequate supplies.
  • Ensures proper storage of cleaning carts and empties vacuum cleaners at the end of each shift.
  • Assists in the quarterly inventory of linens.
  • Ensures safety protocols by keeping linen chutes secured at all times.
  • Collaborates with other hotel departments such as the front desk, engineering, banquet services, and room service.
  • Strives to exceed guest expectations at every opportunity.
  • Ensures all guests receive courteous and efficient service while adhering to company standards.
  • Responsible for training and guiding new team members.
  • Ensures compliance with all housekeeping quality standards and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration with other hotel departments to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assists in managing room inventory to optimize revenue while meeting guest expectations.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience with major hotel brands preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily indoors with a controlled environment.
  • Walking and standing are essential for the majority of the workday.
  • Must be able to navigate the hotel efficiently.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and occasionally push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Requires flexibility in movement for cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Must possess good hearing and vision for effective communication and task execution.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for operating cleaning equipment.
