Big Brothers Big Sisters has the following position available**:Volunteer Engagement Manager located in Houston, TX.**

Position Summary:
**Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities**
**Strategy Execution**
- In collaboration with the Director of Recruitment, cultivate, manage and sustain partnerships with individuals and mentor-rich organizations to achieve set goals and timelines for all volunteer mentor recruitment needs of BBBS Houston.
- Build positive relationships with all stakeholders to recruit and retain contacts and grow partnership opportunities including local businesses, association memberships, corporate partner and agency events, chambers, diversity-focused affinity groups, etc.
- Responsible for staying current on trends that affect our community, including diversity, equity and inclusion, and child/volunteer recruitment.

**Partner Management and Lead Generation**
- Pursue routine efforts to increase engagement from partners and enhance opportunities for volunteer mentor recruitment within their organization.
- Engage in the generation of new partnerships and work with existing partners to inspire new interest in program models best suited to their organization.
- Ensure opportunities align with the broader recruitment strategy and prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion.

**Management -**:

- Develop a system in collaboration with Director of Volunteer Recruitment to report on progress, identify shortfalls, and develop strategies to ensure volunteer recruitment efforts align with the established timeline for achieving new match goals.
- Routinely refer to Agency database (Salesforce) and systems for the purpose of reporting and data integrity.

**Community Events -**:

- Attend community events through independent outreach and collaboration of Volunteer Recruitment, maintain an external presence and effectively communicate the Houston market’s volunteer mentor needs and increase recruitment opportunities.

**Education, Experience, and Other Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in sales, public relations, marketing, recruitment; 2 to 3 years preferred
- Strong interest or entry level experience in sales, client management, and/or recruitment; 2 to 3 years preferred
- Must be a skilled presenter; with a strong ability to share BBBS's mission, and motivate individuals to take action by becoming volunteers
- Must be goal driven, organized, and customer-service minded
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple clients at one time
- Experience working with diverse population is required.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting goals and objectives
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Availability and flexibility to accommodate early weekday morning and evening hours and weekend hours, as well as travel to varying local venues
- Willingness to work within culturally diverse environments
