The Awty International School seeks an experienced **Human Resource Generalist/Coordinator** for immediate placement.

**Role Overview**:
The Human Resource Generalist/Coordinator supports the Director of with the department’s services, policies, and programs for the Awty International School by collaborating with the Director of Human Resources with a focus on recruiting, employee satisfaction, engagement and employment related expertise. The Human Resource Generalist/Coordinator supports and contributes to the mission of Awty by focusing on providing the day to day HR functions with an employee-oriented view and supporting a culture that enhances the Awty community and contributes to the school’s mission, inclusion and diversity efforts.

**Primary Functions - Human Resource Generalist/Coordinator will**:
Support and execute the day to day functions of the Human Resource Department. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, aiding the Director of Human Resources in more complex and/or sensitive matters. Executed responsibilities related to compensation, salary scale, benefits, job postings, recruitment, budget and labor relations. Supports the Director of Human Resources in partnering with Senior Administrators and department managers to provide human resource solutions on a daily basis. Assists in providing insights and expertise into industry trends, benchmarks and human resource related topics inside and outside of the Awty International School.

Assists with employee orientation, employee agreements, benefits plan enrollment, policies and procedures, employee handbook updates, database management procedures, equal opportunity employment enforcement and employee records and documentation policies are addressed accurately, effectively and reflect the mission of the Awty International School.

Supports the Director of Human Resources in providing focus on employees in ways that demonstrates the school’s commitment, appreciation and expectations so employees know they are honored and valued. Advance the continuing efforts around our DEIB efforts.

Provides back up support for payroll in an effective and efficient way along with completing other day-to-day requirements associated with payroll and human resource activities. Generates department reporting related to the mission of the school. Assists the Director of Human Resources in development and implementation of policies and procedures, safety of the workforce, recruiting and hiring high-performing employees, and legislative and other human resources issues.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations as appropriate to continue and advance the success of the Awty International School. Assists in advising department managers on legal implications of HR issues. Provides the day-to-day support of the HR department under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

As an International school, an essential focus for HR is the ever-changing immigration requirements as it relates to our expatriate community including onboarding, work authorizations, visa solutions and expertise, relocation efforts, communication and legal requirements in this evolving area.

The Human Resource Generalist/Coordinator assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years experience in Human Resource
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, recruiting, compensation, organization development, employee relations, training and development
- Experience with expatriate employment including work authorizations, visas, relocations, onboarding and other employee/employer aspects related to these important efforts
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources related programs
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational skills; interpersonal skills and collaborative skills
- Multi-lingual is a plus with emphasis on English, French and Spanish
- Effectively communicate and translate French language (Speaking, Writing, Reading)
- Ability to train our community on the use and benefits of the HRIS system(s)
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to present effectively to all levels throughout the organization
- Advanced skills in a Microsoft Suite, Google Drive/Apps and AI platforms
