TxDOT's Design Division is looking for a Pedestrian Facility Project Manager to join our team in the Landscape Architecture Branch This position will involve developing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) projects, providing support to field personnel for ADA issues, and reviewing projects for ADA concerns. Join us to design and plan spaces in TxDOT ROW to achieve access for all users. Work on a variety of projects, across the various climates and topographies of Texas for districts to work with Local Partners to collaborate with other professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure that their designs are safe, practical, and effective. Develop guidelines for working with local partners, while taking into consideration factors such as natural features, topography, climate, and economic feasibility and preferences when designing ROW projects across TxDOT’s 25 districts.

**Position Description**

**Pedestrian Facility Project Manager I**:
Assists in overseeing project management activities for pedestrian facility projects to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Assists with contract administration, compliance and coordination of planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations with consultants, districts, divisions and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Coordinates the work of professional and/or technical staff. Work requires extensive contact with governmental agencies, officials and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.

**Pedestrian Facility Project Manager II**:

**Essential Duties**:
**Pedestrian Facility Project Manager I**:

- Conducts project reviews and inspections with facility inspectors and district/division project managers.
- Performs site visits to oversee and monitor construction projects.
- Serves as a project leader.
- Compiles and distributes project information, status reports, and project budget expenditures
- Coordinates project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners and contractors and assure coordination and approvals through FHWA.
- Creates, maintains and updates GIS databases and cartographic products using the ESRI suite of ArcGIS softw
